The ITMB submits policy papers to Regional, National and International consultations as well as conducting research and providing briefing papers to various stakeholders. The ITMB also works in partnership with other leading research institutions and policy organisations to initiate and secure funding for research that will lead to policy change.

The ITMB national Advisory group is reponsible for guiding the direction of the policy work which the policy team at ITMB are engaged in and is composed of Travellers from around the country.
