Training and awareness raising is at the forefront of all ITM policy and development. All our current training packages are developed from first hand experience and in consultation with the community.

The approach we use to devise and deliver our training is interculturalism. Interculturalism accepts   the principles of equality of rights, values and abilities but equally incorporates   the development of policies to promote interaction, collaboration and exchange with people of different cultures, ethnicity or religion living in the same locality. Similarly interculturalism is an approach that seeds difference as something positive that can enrich a society and recognises racism as an issue that needs to be tackled in order to create a more inclusive society. The concept of interculturalism has replaced earlier concepts of assimilation and multiculturalism.

All training packages are delivered by qualified and experienced trainers and co-facilitated by members of the Traveller community where/when possible. We can deliver tailored training to suit the requirements of your organisation which include:

To date our qualified trainers have delivered tailored training workshops to The Commission of Racial Equality (CRE) National Probation Service, HM Prison Service, Metropolitan police and numerous local authority departments  to name put a few.

Some of our current training packages include community engagement, developing and delivering services, cultural awareness, tenancy involvement, interagency development and women’s issues.
