 The Traveller Law Reform Project seek a Policy Development Officer - London (part-time)

We are looking to recruit for a 24 month contract Policy Development Officer post based in London working for 21 hours per week. The post is offered at a full-time (35 hours) equivalent salary of £25,226 - £27,245 (£15,136 - £16,347 pro rata) with 35 days a year holiday, including public holidays, pro rata.
///

The post holder will work alongside the TLRP planning worker to promote Traveller Law Reform, monitor the implementation of current legislation at national and regional level and support Gypsy and Traveller inclusion in the policy formulation process. The project is accountable to a steering group of three Organisations: Friends Families and Travellers, the Irish Traveller Movement in Britain and the London Gypsy and Traveller Unit who line manage the post. Understanding of discrimination, experience of lobbying, policy analysis and development work, good communication skills, and an ability to work with a committee, is essential.
